Report reveals riskiest & safest driving cities in U.S.
JACKSON, Tenn. — As summer travel surges, a new report reveals America’s safest and riskiest cities to drive through.
As we head into the 4th of July weekend, Allstate‘s 2025 America’s Best Drivers Report uncovers surprising shifts in driver safety across the country.
They found that cities in Texas or the Pacific Northwest are the safest, while the East Coast contains seven out of the 10 riskiest cities, including Boston, which ranks at the top.
We spoke with Trae Bodge, lifestyle writer and television commentator, who shared tips to keep you and your kids safe on the road.
“I also recommend three very simple tactics that we all use to drive more safely, and that’s buckle up, stay alert, and slow down,” Bodge said. “So if you are taking a road trip, especially for the July 4th holiday, because lots of people will be on the road, use those three tactics carefully.”
She also recommended Allstate’s Drive Wise app, which rewards smooth driving habits like safe speeds, gentle braking, and staying off your phone.
