RIFA Announces Winners of Canstruction Competition

NORTH JACKSON — RIFA handed out awards and thanks to those who participated in this year’s Canstruction food drive competition. 15 teams participated this year, with Gerdau taking home the top prize for its UT football field and helmet. Each of the displays are made from foods that will be donated to the Regional Interfaith Association’s food bank, just in time for the holidays. “We’ve got such a great cross section between churches, businesses, schools, we even have a girl scout troop this year that are participating and it’s a big effort,” Lisa Tillman said, the Executive Director of RIFA. The can displays will be at Old Hickory Mall though Thursday.
