Benton County Health Department celebrates new renovations with ribbon cutting

CAMDEN, Tenn. — A recently remodeled health department hosts a special ceremony.

Earlier Wednesday, the Tennessee Department of Health hosted a dedication for their newly renovated health department in Benton County’s grand re-opening.

The health center is located at 225 Hospital Drive in Camden.

The department offers family planning, women health services, sti screenings and treatments, birth certificates and death certificates, as well as nicotine replacement therapy.

“Pretty much every area of the health department has been touched; every area has received new flooring and paint as well as we’ve added millwork for much needed storage ad to the health department. So, we’ve really touched about every area in this health department inside and outside,” said Tracy Byrd, county director.

Also, the department has a health educator that travels to promote health and wellness for local communities.
