Dyer County man charged with shooting fire department
DYERSBURG – A local man is charged with a drive-by style shooting at the Dyersburg Fire Department downtown and a business, First Choice Farm and Lawn, on Highway 51 Bypass.

Phillip Allen McGuire, 41, is charged with six counts of felony reckless endangerment for shooting at the fire department with firefighters inside, according to the police report.
He is also charged with vandalism over $1,000 for damaging the fire department and equipment inside.
McGuire is also charged with shooting two Kubota tractors, damaging them.
Police officers responded to a call of damage to the fire department on Saturday morning and answered an alarm call at First Choice Farm and Lawn just before noon, according to the report.
Officers used a combination of Sky Cop, Flock, and surveillance cameras along with License Plate Readers to identify McGuire as a suspect.
