3rd annual Bowls for the Hungry charity event to kick off July 19

JACKSON, Tenn. — The third annual Bowls for the Hungry charity event is almost here, and their signature bowl auction is already underway.

The event will take place on July 19 at Jackson Fairgrounds Park. The event will host live bands, speakers from local nonprofits, and, of course, handmade ceramic bowls for auction.

“Last year we were able to raise over $3,000 and that went towards RIFA for their Snack Backpack Program and the money raised was able to provide 3,700 meals. We’re hoping to raise even more this year with everyone’s kind giving and looking forward to seeing how many lives we can impact thought this auction,” said Allysa Miller, City of Jackson ceramics coordinator.

The auction is live now. You can visit their website at jacksontn.betterworld.org to place your bids and admire the local artists work.
