Traffic halted in Milan due to ‘small train derailment’
UPDATE (5:32 pm): According to the Milan Police Department, CSX has the train derailment cleared at this time. All main roads are passable, however, Williamson will remain closed due to damage.

MILAN, Tenn. — Traffic is halted in Milan due to a small train derailment.
The Milan Police Department issued an alert shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday, stating that there is a train sitting on the railroad tracks on South First/North First Street as well as North Main/South Main Street.
Police expect the train to remain for “a few hours” due to what they say is a small train derailment.
Police say Williamson Street is currently blocked, however College Street and Salem Street are open.
Traffic will be diverted to other routes.
