Stephen Edward Johns
Stephen Edward Johns, age 53, ran into the arms of Jesus on June 25, 2025, in Houston Texas after a brief illness.
He was born January 23, 1972, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Robert Edward Johns and Sandra Jean Arnett Johns. Stephen was a 1990 graduate of North Side High School, 1992 graduate of Jackson State Community College and a 1994 graduate of Lambuth College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sandra Johns, his paternal grandparents Dr. Homer Edward Johns and Flora Ellen Weeks Johns, maternal grandparents, Reverend O.T. Arnett and Mrs. Opal Humphries Arnett.
Stephen will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Lauren Johns, stepson Houston Perry, Sister Melinda Johns (David) Barham, nephews Rufus Alexander and Robbie Barham, and nieces Ellie Barham and Annie Barham and a host of many dear friends.
A Celebration of life service for Stephen will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel at 1:30 pm with the family receiving friends beginning at 11:30 am up until time of service.
The family requests that memorials in Stephen’s memory may be made to House of Hope Madisonville, 901 W Trinity Street, Madisonville, Texas 77864.
