John Wesley Goff
John Wesley Goff, 69, of Halls opened his eyes to the face of Jesus 2:33 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was a former resident of Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Tim Newby will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Brinkley, Zane Brinkley, James Quick, Martin Goff, Matthew Baldwin and Tim Hargett.
John was born January 23, 1956, in Dyersburg, son of the late Porter and Marie (Crane) Goff. He retired as a purchasing agent for Williams Sausage. After retirement John was employed at Lowe’s in Union City. He was an avid movie buff and music lover. But what John loved the most was his wife, children and family. John was a honorary member of Mississippi State Guard 215th Company.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Goff of Halls; two sons, Cody Goff (Ashley) of Antioch and Casey Goff (Sammi) of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Karissa Goff of Nashville; one stepson, Michael Sadler of Dyersburg; one sister, Flora Quick (James) of Princeton, Kentucky; one brother, Martin Goff of Portage, Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
