Food trucks gather in Humboldt to support ‘Shop with a Cop’ program

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — One local police department hosts a fundraising event for all to enjoy.

The Humboldt Police Department hosted their Food Truck Day event. Local favorites like Country Cabin Sweets & Treats, Tacolima, Journeyman’s Food Truck, Grandma’s BBQ, and more were on hand Friday, and will continue serving up some great food on Saturday.

For specific times of operation, visit each vendor’s social media pages.

A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Humboldt Police Department’s efforts to continue their ‘Shop with a Cop’ event held in December.

“Citizens thought that it would be a great idea for some of our vendors to come and donate, and they are doing a tip jar and [contributing] a portion of the sales. And so a couple of them agreed and came out, and this is the first time it’s ever happened with the food trucks donating. So this was a genuine idea by the community to come out and donate for ‘Shop with a Cop,” said Chief Kenny Rich, Humboldt Police Department.

The food trucks will be at the parking lots located at Mitchell Street and 22nd Avenue in Humboldt.
