JPD, MCSO searches for suspects in 2 separate incidents

JACKSON, Tenn. — Local law enforcement officers were busy Tuesday afternoon conducting multiple investigations.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office Searches for Suspect

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says they are currently looking for Justin Blake Gibbs after a heavy police presence gathered Tuesday.

Our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipsters informed us around 1:30 p.m. of the police presence in the 100 block of Bald Eagle Run.

When we arrived to the scene, we found Madison County Sheriff’s deputies and the fire department on scene.

According to MCSO, Gibbs is wanted for several outstanding felony warrants.

MCSO shares that they were unable to make contact with Gibbs Tuesday afternoon and confirms this is an ongoing investigation.

JPD Investigates Shotspotter Alert 

In the city of Jackson, the police department responded to a Shotspotter alert in the 400 block of Preston Street around 12 p.m.

The Jackson Police Department reports there were no injuries or damage to the property.

Our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News team witnessed JPD officers, a swat team, and special operation units at the scene.

According to JPD, preliminary investigations revealed a description of the suspected vehicle involved. A vehicle matching that description was found at a residence in the 500 block of North Cumberland Street.

A search warrant was obtained by JPD to search that residence. According to JPD, the residence was cleared, but no suspect was found.
