Lexington City Council members meet to vote on new agenda items
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — Leaders in one community gather for their monthly meeting.
The meeting began with the discussion of old business, which was clarification of the budget.
Alderman Fred Ellis asked for clarification of purchased items, including a fire truck.
As for new business, an ordinance amending the zoning map to rezone tax parcel 61.07 on Pruitt Lane from B-2 to R-2 was approved. This approval will allow new homes to be built in the appropriate zoning map.
Other new business items were approved by alderman.
Lexington Electric System shared they are ahead of schedule for their broadband project. Work will continue to be done over the next two weeks.
The board meets on the fourth monday of every month.
