West TN Outreach Conference in Jackson teaches all things agriculture
JACKSON, Tenn. — The College of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Program and Tennessee State University Outreach Program are hosting an education conference for all things agriculture.
Residents gathered at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center for the West Tennessee Outreach Conference.
Some topics they discussed were high-tunnel production, organic gardening, sustainable ag, heir’s property, poultry production and many other useful subjects.
“This information is good for all small farmers whether you’re plant science or you’re trying to grow your own business or you have co or cattle production, so we try to get everybody,” said Arvazena Clardy, professor of plant services at TSU.
They will host another conference Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in west Jackson.
