Very Fall Like Day on Monday, Warmer and Sunnier Weather Coming!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
After being above normal, pretty much all month of July, the first 4 days of August have actually been below normal. That will last for another day or two.

The clouds have been sticking around most of the day keeping the temperatures down, but the clouds will try to break up a bit this evening and tonight. The showers are struggling to get going today but there could be a few on Tuesday. Most of us will miss out on the rain this week and the sun will be returning for most of the week as well. Highs will climb back up above normal later this week but the humidity looks to be kept in check all week long as well. Catch the full forecast details coming up here.

THIS WEEK:
The last time Jackson had a high temperature below 80° was back in May. Today was the coolest day of the summer and it sure felt nice for many of the kids heading back to school for the first time this season. The skies were cloudy most of the day and that is why it was cooler. The winds were light and will stay that way most of the week. The clouds will break up some tonight and temperatures will fall down to the mid to upper 60s overnight. Rain showers are not expected but cannot 100% be ruled out tonight.

Tuesday will be our best chance for rain all week and chances are only 30%, so do not count on any rain. Any showers that develop will only produce brief rain and storms are not expected. The best chance for rain will be in the afternoon hours. We are expecting partly cloudy skies with highs reaching back into the upper 80s. It will be about 10° warmer on Tuesday than it was on Monday. The winds will be light and come out of the east. Tuesday night lows will fall down to the upper 60s or 70°.

Mostly sunny skies are expected for Wednesday and Thursday this week. Highs will reach the low 90s both days and chances for rain are less than 10% both days. The winds will be light and come out of the east both days as well and that will keep the humidity down. Morning lows will flirt around the 70° during the middle of the week. The weather is going to be great in the middle of the week but we are starting to get to the point where drought concerns are going to be mentioned if we do not get some rain soon.

The nice weather is expected to continue for our Friday across West Tennessee as well. Highs may be a bit warmer on Friday than they were in the middle of the week. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s but mostly sunny skies are likely during the afternoon and evening hours. Chances for rain appear to be really low on Friday and will remain low into the upcoming weekend. Friday night lows will drop down to around 70° to kick off the weekend.

THIS WEEKEND:
Another really nice weekend looks to be on tap for West Tennessee. Rain chances appear to be below 20% as of now. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy at times. The winds will shift from the east to the south as the weekend goes on. That may increase the humidity a little bit and help warm temperatures back into the mid 90s for some of us. It will NOT be hot enough for an extreme heat warning and a heat advisory also appears unlikely at this time. Take advantage of the weather this weekend because it will be nice and warm, but not too hot and humid and it appears we will not be encountering any storms either.
