Zelma Lee Gross (Allen)
Zelma Lee Gross (Allen), age 100 of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025,
at Charter Senior Living in Paris. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on
Saturday, August 16, 2025, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Barry Hart of the First
Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 1:00 PM on Saturday, prior to the
service.
Pallbearers for Ms. Gross will be Robert Gross, Gary Gross, Rod Gross, Brian
Gross, Andrew Gross, and Melissa Hansen.
Zelma Lee Gross was born April 29, 1925, in Bemis, TN, to the late Jesse Lee and
Mary Lucille Rayborn Allen. On July 5, 1947, she married Harvey Adam Gross,
and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2003.
Ms. Gross was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed her
family, quilting, and visiting shut-ins and nursing homes.
Zelma is survived by her sons: Robert Lee Gross (Rosalie) of Prescott, AZ, Gary
Wayne Gross of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Rodney Allen Gross (Linda) of
Arroyo Grande, CA; grandchildren: Brian Gross (Alice Croteau), Andrew Gross,
and Melissa Hansen (Barten); great-grandchildren: Elijah Owen Gross and Amelia
Rose Gross; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Zelma was also preceded in death by her sisters:
Willie May French, Kathy Walter, Ruth Zartman, Betty Mathis, and Wanda
Hartley; and her brothers: Wayne Allen, James Allen, Ray Allen, and Roy Allen.
