Earlier today was commissioner cup media day.The football
coaches and teams of Jcm,North side, South side and Liberty tech gathered at
Rock’ n Dough pizza to speak on how important
the cup is to their team and city. Last year Jcm
took home the trophy on a last second touchdown
over North Side and lucky for the fans we get that
matchup again this Friday to kick the season off.
We spoke with head coach Erit Turner about the cougars
having a target on their back and North side coach Woodrow
Lowe jr speaks on possibly bringing out some tricks to get the win.

Erit Turner- stated “Doesn’t change no matter if we the target or we targeting somebody because at the end of the day we still gotta prepare the same way it may change the way they prepare but we gone do the same thing we been doing we gone take it up a notch but we gone prepare and focus the same way and we let everybody else decide how they want to approach us but they know when we coming it’s not gone be an easy night.”
Woodrow Lowe Jr. stated “They set of plays they know them im sure coach Turner can draw them up and tell them what we gone do then you have plays that they dont know about you know what i mean we have plays and stuff is reserved per week per opponent so of course will have a few things up our sleeve so it will be fun.”
Lester Narcisse stated “Well one of the goals i want to set for our quarterback is i want him to throw for over 3,000 yards so thats gone be up to him so but we set goals whether they to high to low and we get 2500 yards out of it i’m good with that but we want to not be the typical team that we have been in the past.”
Robert Gillard states “We still planning as though we were competing you know for a state championship everyday so every game we going go in were going try to win and are expectations are going to still be the same regardless of being independent or not
