$50,000 Powerball Double Play winner in Union City, Jackpot soars to $950 million

$50,000 POWERBALL DOUBLE PLAY WINNER IN UNION CITY, JACKPOT SOARS TO $950 MILLION FOR SATURDAY
UNION CITY – As Powerball jackpot fever sweeps the nation, thousands of Tennessee Lottery players continue to have fun and win prizes at non-jackpot levels along the way. This includes a lucky player in Union City, who won $50,000 from last night’s Powerball Double Play drawing, which occurs after the regular drawing.
The winner matched four numbers plus the Powerball. The winning $50,000 ticket was sold at Huck’s Food & Fuel, 1400 S. First St. in Union City.
Meanwhile, the jackpot for this popular game has soared to $950 million for Saturday, which is the sixth largest in the game’s history.

For an extra $1 per play, Double Play gives players a chance to win additional cash prizes up to $10 million with their Powerball numbers. Players play the same set of numbers in both the main Powerball drawing and the separate Double Play drawing. Powerball tickets that include the Double Play add-on are eligible to win prizes in both drawings.
