Annual ’30 mile yard sale’ kicks off in Benton County
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — One local county is coming together for their 27th annual shopping event that brings in miles and miles of sales.
“We probably won’t do all 30, but there’s a few when seen in our brochure that we got from the chambers of commerce of different places. There’s a few boutiques that are doing $10 totes sales and things like that. So I thought about going to those,” said Ashlee, a vendor.
The 30 Mile Bargain Hunt of Benton County will have its annual sale from Friday until Saturday. It begins interstate 40 exit 126 to at highway 69 a in Big Sandy.
“This year is our first year setting up. Me and my mom had started our own little business doing door hangers, shirts, hats, different little things,” said Ashlee.
The Camden Elementary School parking lot was filled with vendors with numerous of items from body care, to clothes, tires, and food.
“I think the coolest part is seeing, we have one of these in Waverly–a 30 mile. It’s just seeing the different things like the older antique things that are still around to me,” said Ashlee.
Some vendors were even selling cars. Saturday, August 30 will be the last day of this sale.
