Cooling Down Mid-Week

WBBJ 7 Forecast Update

West Tennessee looks to pick up another stretch of days with cooler than normal weather later this week, plus a chance for scattered showers.

Tonight:

Cloud cover will begin to break after sunset, leading to mostly clear skies by late tonight. Overnight lows will be in the mid to low 60s, some drier places may fall into the 50s. There will likely not be a breeze tonight as pressure is somewhat high and a stationary front to our south is stopping southerly flow.

Bingo

Labor Day:

It will be another warm and mostly dry day, but a low chance for scattered showers is rising in portions of West Tennessee during the late afternoon hours. Some models suggest scattered showers could begin around 4:00 PM mostly south and east of Jackson.

Tuesday:

Scattered showers will be more likely on Tuesday. Some showers could start early in the morning, but those would be light. Heavier showers may build in as we heat up throughout the day. Temperatures will get up to the mid-80s with a little bit more humidity.

Tue Morn

Wednesday:

A cold front will pass through Wednesday night. The front will be mostly dry after Tuesday’s showers. The temperatures will struggle to get above 85 degrees before the front passes. There is not a sizeable chance for showers or storms Wednesday.

Thursday-Saturday:

A much cooler and dry airmass will move into the region for a few days. There will be very little breeze or cloud cover and almost no chance for rain. It will be another taste of mid-Fall for us here in West Tennessee.
