2 more individuals indicted in connection to Drummond case

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Madison County grand jury has returned an indictment including two new names in the ongoing Drummond investigation.

According to the indictment, Michell Araceli Ovelis and Erik Jermain Wise Jr., alongside Dearrah Sanders and Giovontie Thomas, have been charged with accessory after the fact in connection to the Lake County homicides.

Ovelis (L) and Wise (R) appear in mugshots.

The indictment states that all four individuals did provide or aid in providing Drummond with any means of avoiding arrest, trial, conviction, or punishment.

According to the TBI, several weeks ago, authorities charged Austin Drummond with a set of felony charges in connection to the murders of James M. Wilson, Adrianna Williams, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams in Tiptonville on July 29. He was a fugitive for seven days before police arrested him in Jackson on August 5.
