RIFA Canstruction kick-off Party for Teams and Sponsors

JACKSON  Tenn — It’s that time of the year again where residents from all over West Tennessee compete to build delicious structures for a good cause.  The Regional Inter-Faith Association, also known as RIFA, held their Canstruction kickoff party at Baker Brothers BBQ in downtown Jackson late Thursday afternoon.  This celebration was for all 2025 RIFA Canstruction teams and sponsors.  Teams will soon be competing to create displays and make them into creative works of art in a unique way.

“I remember with my children we would be shopping and see these massive structure out of non perishable food items.  And they were huge and I just remember thinking how do they make this happen.  Well it turns out that their are lots of teams in Jackson who work weeks and weeks on these structures. And their made up of food that’s going to come back to RIFA at the end of the night.”  said Denice Walton the director of development at RIFA.

This year there are 17 teams competing.
