Brownsville, Tenn. – The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is proud to announce the guest for Tina Turner Heritage Days 2025, returning to Tina’s hometown of Brownsville, Tennessee. The annual event celebrates the life, music, and global influence of the Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll with a weekend of performances, storytelling, and community events.
This year’s featured guests include:
- Dr. Catherine Meeks – Acclaimed theologian, author, and social justice leader. Like Tina Turner, Dr. Meeks is the daughter of sharecroppers and rose beyond the limits of her beginnings.
- Tim Riley – Esteemed music historian, author, and professor of journalism at Boston’s Emerson College, leading a discussion on Tina’s impact entitled “No Limits: Tina Turner’s Global Feminism.”
- Ferly Prado – Brazilian-born, world-class international dancer and choreographer who toured the world with Tina and has also performed with the likes of Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Mariah Carey.
- Ollie Marland – Renowned music director, band leader, and keyboardist for Tina’s 50th Anniversary Tour along with other legendary performers.

- Dale McReynolds – Kentucky-based “self-taught, God-inspired” realist painter from Paducah, Kentucky, whose work reflects resilience and authenticity. She brings a deep, personal artistry that resonates with Tina’s own story of resilience and expression.
Family members will also join the celebration in honoring Tina’s legacy:
- Grandchildren Randall Turner, Raquel Turner with Raquel’s sons Tyson and Tyrese Turner-Oldnettle. They’ll bring family insights while honoring their grandmother’s memory

- Niece Diana Wheeler with great-nieces Evelyn Collins, Danielle, and Nina Jackson, will be on hand for the historic event
Highlights of the weekend include live music, panel discussions, guided tours of Nutbush and other sites significant to Tina Turner’s story, and community celebrations. A major, once-in-a-lifetime event during the weekend will be the unveiling of a larger-than-life bronze statue of Tina at Heritage Park in Brownsville.
