Jackson man arrested in major drug bust
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL JODY PICKENS:
Jody Pickens, District Attorney General, 26th Judicial District District Attorney General Announces Major Drug Arrest
On the morning of September 2nd, 2025, Agents with the 26th and 24th Judicial District Drug Task Forces along with Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at a home on Arlington Avenue in Jackson Tennessee.
During the execution of the search warrant agents encountered and detained suspect Eric Gilbert, black male, age 41, from Jackson, Tennessee.
During a search of the residence agents recovered approximately seventy–seven (77) pounds of methamphetamine, a quarter pound of cocaine, eight (8) pounds of marijuana, and $3,678.00 in U.S currency that were proceeds of illegal drug trafficking.
On September 3rd, 2025, a further investigation led to the recovery of an additional $9,600.00 in U.S. currency that was believed to be drug trafficking proceeds.
The drugs seized in this case have an approximate street value of $200,000.00 dollars.
Eric Gilbert (photo attached) was arrested for felony drug trafficking charges and has been charged in both state and federal court.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details will be released at this time.
