3 Madison County jail escapees back in custody
JACKSON, Tenn. — We have an update on the inmates that escaped custody from the Madison County jail as the final escapee has been captured.
All three of the inmates have now been captured.
Authorities say Brandon Forbes, Cameron Campbell, and Dillon Decker were all caught on camera leaving the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex on September 14.
Forbes was apprehended three days later and appeared for arraignment where he received a bond of $500,000. He was originally charged with parole violation.
Campbell was apprehended Friday in Memphis and was expected in court Monday morning for arraignment. Moments before court began, officers informed us that Campbell refused to enter the courtroom for his hearing. They told us it was unlikely his arraignment would proceed. Prior to his escape, Campbell was incarcerated for felony drug and weapon charges. According to the arrest warrant, he now faces an additional charge of felony escape.
Decker was on the run for a week when he was captured in Nashville Sunday. He originally faced possession charges of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, as well as resisting arrest, evading arrest, and more. According to a press release, this capture was a combined effort by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI Nashville-Jackson Resident Agency and the Metro-Nashville Police Department.
According to the Madison County Clerk’s Office, Decker is not in their custody yet, and no date has been set for his arraignment.
