More Storms Coming Tonight & Again on Wednesday!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
After some early morning showers and storms we got a brief break in the early afternoon hours but more mid afternoon showers and storms have popped up. We should get another break later this evening before more heavy rain and storms come through overnight. We are under a marginal risk (1/5) for severe storms with gusty winds being the main threat tonight. We had a severe storm earlier near Scotts Hill moving near Decaturville and moving east at 30 MPH. More storms are expected this evening and tonight. We will have more storms popping up on Wednesday and we will have the latest forecast information coming up right here.

THIS WEEK:
After picking up some well needed rain and storms on Sunday, more of the same popped up on Monday across West Tennessee. The showers cleared out as the evening went on but came back on Tuesday in the morning and more storms developed Tuesday afternoon. The main concern for severe weather on Tuesday will be areas west of the Mississippi River in the evening hours that will track though overnight. Our main concern for a few severe storms this week will move through on Wednesday in the early morning hours and again in the late afternoon hours. By Thursday afternoon, sunny and dry weather will be coming back and lasting through the weekend.

Highs on Tuesday again reached the low 80s. The winds came out of the southwest keeping the humidity up a bit. W saw mostly cloudy skies, but there were a few periods during the day when the sun showed up. Rain showers were off and on in the morning and some storms popped up again in the afternoon hours. A severe storm or two cannot be ruled out producing some hail, gusty winds and heavy rain with lightning for the remainder of the night. Expect heavy for many of us later tonight into early Wednesday morning. Tuesday night lows will drop down to around 70°.

The best shot for severe weather is coming on Wednesday as the cold front will pass by late in the day. We are under a level 1/5 (marginal risk) as of now but an upgrade to a level 2 seems possible, especially in our southern counties before the front gets here. Highs on Wednesday will reach up to around 80° and Wednesday night lows will fall to the mid 60s. The winds on Wednesday will start out of the southwest but switch to the west or northwest Wednesday night as the front moves though. There could be a few lingering showers Wednesday night but by the time the sun comes up on Thursday, most of us will have seen an end to the rain.

Thursday and Friday are looking like great days across West Tennessee. There will be some clouds sticking around early Thursday morning before clearing out into the afternoon. Thursday will be a little cooler behind the front with highs reaching the upper 70s. The winds on Thursday will come out of the northwest behind the front and it could be a tad breezy at times early in the day. Friday is looking really nice with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s. Friday night football weather again is looking perfect. Thursday night lows will be a little cooler near 60° and we should fall into the upper 50s for Friday night into Saturday morning.
THE WEEKEND:
Great weather is on tap for the weekend across all of West Tennessee. In general expect sunny skies. There will be a few clouds, but not many. Also rain showers are not expected this weekend. Our first weekend of fall will be mild with highs reaching the low to mid 80s and morning lows sticking around between 55-60°. We could warm back up to the upper 80s by next Monday. Take advantage of the weekend weather if you like nice weather because we are not sure how many more of these nice weekends we are going to have as we get deeper into fall. The winds will come out of the northeast all weekend long across the region.
