Memphis Grizzlies representative speaks at Jackson Rotary Club meeting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Community members gather for a can’t-miss program featuring Lamont Nelson with the Memphis Grizzlies organization.

Lamont Nelson shared an inside look at the Grizzlies’ work across basketball operations, community engagement, and what’s ahead for the upcoming NBA season.

Nelson also gave out Grizzlies souvenirs such as a Ja Morant autographed planner and a pair of shoes autographed by Jaren Jackson.

“Everything looks great, right? Training camp, everybody thinks we can the championship, so that’s our goal! Is to win that, and that’s what training camp is all said about, is to get everybody on the same vision of the coach, and the organization, and to bring out the best as you possibly can as a player,” said Nelson.

The rotary club also mentioned that the Jackson International Food & Arts Festival is this Saturday, Sept 27 and they need volunteers to carry flags in the parade.

Rotarians will meet under the fairgrounds sheds on the right side of the fairgrounds. Meet up is at 10:30am and the parade starts at 11am.
