Nearly 6,000 women enter Menopause every day in the U.S.

As the seasons shift, women around the country are making space this September to take stock of their health.

Every day in the United States, around 6,000 women begin the transition into menopause, a natural phase of aging caused by declining hormone levels.

This change can trigger symptoms like hot flashes, brain fog, mood swings, and sleep disturbances, all of which seriously can affect quality of life.

“Eventually, a woman just not feeling like herself and not being able to identify why. Luckily, we have fantastic, safe and effective treatment options for women, including hormonal replacement therapy,” said Dr. Elizabeth Lowden, independent triple board certified endocrinologist.

But here’s the good news: treatments, including hormone replacement therapy (hrt), are helping women navigate this transition. For most women, when started around the years of perimenopause and menopause, hrt is safe and effective—supporting bone, heart, brain, and sexual health.
