Crash reported on Highway 70 near Tate Loop

UPDATE (9/25/25): According to a preliminary report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol: The crash occurred Wednesday around 5:35 p.m. It involved two vehicles — a 2020 Chevy Blazer traveling eastbound, and a 1998 Toyota Camry traveling westbound. The wreck injured all occupants involved — the driver of the Chevy along with the driver and passenger of the Toyota. All are Tennessee residents. Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation.


HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Another wreck has occurred on Highway 70.

An accident near Tate Loop on Highway 70 was reported by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office around 6pm Wednesday.

Officials ask, if you plan to travel in the area, to use Tate School Road and Westwood Drive. Highway 70 is blocked after Tate Loop.

There is no immediate word on injuries. We reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol for more information and are awaiting further comment.
