First Responder Training Conference underway in the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn. — One Tennessee leader travels to the Hub City for a special conference.
Tennessee Firemen’s Association hosted their 92nd annual First Responder Training Conference at the DoubleTree hotel in Jackson.
The three-day event will bring together firefighters and emergency medical services.
Thursday, Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett was invited to speak and share why recognizing our first responders is so important.
“Most people have no idea the amount of training that these men and women do at their respective fire departments,” Hargett said. “They also don’t know the mental strain that they’re under to do that as well, and this group, together they come together to train to support one another and to figure out how they can best advocate for their profession.”
To continue the conference, Friday they will hold a memorial service at nine in the morning at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
