The walk for life uses peer-to-peer fundraising. In the weeks leading up to the walk, walkers ask friends and family to “sponsor” them by pledging or donating to Birth Choice.
Walkers may also choose to participate by showing up the day of the walk and donating any amount.
“If they sign up ahead of time they get the opportunity to fundraise. So they ask friends and family to donate or pledge to their walk in honor of their walk. And all those donations go to Birth Choice. And it’s super fun and super easy and there is really no time constraints in that,” said Tiffany Dawson, director of development for Birth Choice.
Walkers can expect a one and a half mile walk, food, games, a craft booth, a “gospel illusionist,” petting zoo and more.
Admission is free for sponsored walkers, families, and donors. The event is stroller and wheelchair-friendly. TO make a donation or to register for the walk, click here.
