BlueOval City employees offer volunteer services to Haywood County Carl Perkins Center
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — It’s Global Caring Month, and the Ford Volunteer Corps is celebrating 20 years by supporting local nonprofits.
This annual Ford Philanthropy initiative empowers employees worldwide to transform their passion into purpose and highlights the company’s legacy of partnering with communities around the world.
Through this initiative, Ford employees develop and lead volunteer projects that address critical needs in their own communities.
To support these employee-led efforts, Ford Philanthropy provides grants of up to $10,000 to participating nonprofits to acquire necessary tools and supplies to support their projects.
This September, employees will lead 180 projects in 30 countries.
In West Tennessee, employees from the Tennessee Electric Vehicle Venter at BlueOval City, led by team manager Bill Cozart, selected the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Brownsville.
“We’re always looking for volunteer opportunities in the community. And we do several every month, but this is the big one we have every year,” said Cozart.
“We are so appreciative at the Carl Perkins Center for the philanthropy,” said director for Haywood County Carl Perkins Center.
Since Global Caring Month began, nearly 100,000 Ford employees have participated in more than 2,000 community impact projects across 45+ countries.
