District Attorney General Frederick Agee retires from the Military after 21 years of service

District Attorney General Frederick Agee Set To Retire from the Military after 21 Years of Service
The District Attorney’s Office of the 28th Judicial District wishes to congratulate District Attorney General Frederick H. Agee on his retirement from the United States Army, which becomes effective Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Since being in office for the last five years, General Agee has been the only elected District Attorney in Tennessee to actively serve in the military, and after 21 years of honorable service in both the National Guard and the Army Reserve, he will retire at the rank of Major.
General Agee began his military career by enlisting and attending Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, GA. He became a commissioned Engineer Officer by completing Officer Candidate School and the Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course. During his military career, General Agee was deployed overseas four times, two deployments to Kuwait, one to the Republic of Korea, and another to the Joint Task Force Guantanamo, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He received many decorations during his career, including the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Joint Service Achievement Medal.
General Agee, thank you for your years of honorable service to the United States of America. We truly appreciate the sacrifices you made to serve your country.
