28th David H. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament kicks off Oct. 6

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The Lions Club Golf Tournament fundraiser is almost here.

Residents can now sign up for the 28th annual David H. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament at the Humboldt Country Club.

All proceeds raised will go toward the local community and the lion’s initiative to provide glasses for those in need.

“Registration starts at 8, and we’ll have a shotgun start at 8:30. We will be giving out trophies and some prizes, and we’ll have a long drive competition, a closest-to-the-hole competition, and a few other things scattered throughout there to just have a good time,” said David Byrum, committee chairman for the David H. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament will be held on Monday October 6.
