We start things off in Alamo as the Crockett county Cavaliers
are your team of the week. Last Friday night
they pulled out a tight one on the road in a
tough contest with the North Side Indians winning
with a final of 28 to 26. The Cavaliers had a dominating ground
game with Dk woods and had sustained drives that kept them in the game.
On defense ending up making a huge 2 point conversion stop to what
eventually would seal the game. Crockett county is now on a two game winning
streak and sits with a 5-1 record on the season so far. We caught up with head
coach Kevin Ward and he spoke about Friday’s performance, the key for them offensively,
and their next match up with Dyersburg. Take a listen.

“Well i mean obviously it was s four quarter game and very physical game we made some mistakes that created some points for them but they made some mistakes that obviously that created some points for us so it was really who made the least amount of mistakes in that game and we were fortunate to be able to do that. Well i mean we were having some success with dk running the football and we threw the ball pretty well as well so we just felt like you know if we can control the football and eat some clock keep their offense off the field that we would have a good chance at the end. We hope to match their physicality and speed and you know hope its just one of those games that comes down to the end that both teams have a chance to win it at the end”.
