3rd annual Hub City Film Festival underway
JACKSON, Tenn. — The third annual Hub City Film Festival is happening this weekend at theCO!
Here’s what you’ve missed through days one and two. The event showed screenings for roughly 25 films for festival goers to enjoy.
One of which is the film “Color Book.” The film depicts the story of a single father and his son who has Down Syndrome.
The powerful story has captivated audiences at film festivals nationwide.
After the showing, some of the team on the “Color Book” film spoke on a panel answering questions about the film making process.
“This year we’re also partnering with the Our Jackson Home to do a documentary, so we’re really happy that the community is supporting that and we want them to come vote and be a part of this as well as the documentary that we’re putting together for the community,” said Shelby Tyre, founder of the Hub City Film Festival.
Saturday afternoon will feature the Filmmaker’s Roundtable, a panel of local film makers who will discuss their thoughts on the industry locally.
