Dyersburg water main break leads to boil water notice
FROM THE CITY OF DYERSBURG:
October 7 11:21 a.m.
THE CITY OF DYERSBURG WATER/SEWER DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON A BREAK IN A 6” CAST IRON WATER MAIN.
THIS BREAKAGE IS ON THE 51 BYPASS EAST OF DYERSBURG HIGH SCHOOL. THEY HAVE A COUPLE OF FIRE HYDRANTS OPEN TRYING TO RELIEVE PRESSURE IN THE LINE TO MAKE REPAIRS. NOT SURE HOW LONG THIS WILL TAKE BUT CURRENTLY LOW WATER PRESSURE IS AFFECTING A LARGE AREA OF DYERSBURG. AS SOON AS THE JOB IS COMPLETE AND WE ARE INFORMED THE LEAK IS REPAIRED WE WILL ADVISE YOU.

Important Notice: The City of Dyersburg Water System has experienced a water main line break which has resulted in a significant loss of pressure in the drinking water system. As a precautionary
measure we are asking customers to boil water before using for consumption. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this problem. The boil notice is for the area south of I-155, West of Pioneer Road, East of Highway 51 Bypass, and North of Parkview Street. See image below:
