It’s Thursday so let’s start things off with your team of the week
and it will go to the USJ bruins
They are coming off a win in which
they defeated Memphis East with a final of
49 to 6. Defensively it’s pretty obvious on
how dominating they were not allowing them
to score over 6 points while making them work for every
inch.Offensively they were lead by quarterback Cayden
Creech who completed 7 passes for 157 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.
This now makes seven wins in a row which puts them in the driver seat
of their own destiny for the region.
We spoke with head coach Derrick Pritchard and he talked about last
Friday’s win, the pressure of being undefeated and that playoff talk is not
on their minds right now.

“We talk about going 1-0 that week and you know our guys approach each and every week
has shown that last week i would say that we had our best practices on Tuesday and Wednesday
of last week are going are really bought in they really dedicated to the process and dedicated
to showing up everyday and getting better and being coached hard and so the results for
the work monday- Thursday shows up friday. For me pressure comes from the outside its not
internal we dont have any pressure to go undefeated that’s not our goal our goal is to not go undefeated our goal is to be the best version of ourselves each and every week and wherever that lands it land if that’s an undefeated season great if its not as long as we put are best foot forward
and where our best version we can lay are head our pillow at night and say we gave it our best.
So aren message as a coaching staff were focused on the here and now were not focused on things that are to come it’ll take care of it itself because if you focus on the things that are in the future then you neglect your work and what’s going on right now we teach them to be present in the moment.”
