President’s Luncheon held as part of Lane Homecoming celebrations
JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s Homecoming season, and one local college is celebrating with alumni from all over.
Lane College is hosting a weeklong celebration filled with tradition, pride, and community spirit.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Rooted in Legacy, Rising Together.”
Throughout the week, alumni, students, faculty, and friends are invited to enjoy an exciting schedule of events.
That includes the homecoming coronation, the Dr. JL Perry Memorial Golf Tournament, the Homecoming parade, the step show, and many more opportunities to reconnect and celebrate.
Friday morning, the President’s Luncheon took place outside on the Bray Hall lawn.
“It is a joy for me to come every year,” said Gerald Williams, former President of Lane College Alumni Chapter. “I graduated in 1971, and I think I may have missed one or two years from not being at Homecoming. I’m looking forward to try to interact with some of the students also, because, it is important for us to be able to do whatever we can to energize the current students.”
There was also a pep rally Friday at the Water Tower Place, and a choir showcase in Graves Auditorium.
