Longtime CEO of Mental Health and Development Services retires after 48 years
JACKSON, Tenn. — One CEO celebrates retirement after 48 years of service.

Bill Brewer, CEO OF Mental Health and Development Services, is one of those rare leaders who found his calling early in life and pursued it with a passion and grace rarely seen.

He has worked in almost every position at MHDS and took over as chief executive officer 19 years ago. Brewer will officially be retired from his position at the end of the year.

A reception was held at the Doubletree Hotel earlier this afternoon to celebrate his many years of service and dedication.
“It’s just time for me, and we’ve got a great succession plan. Nora Buckley will be taking over the agency and she’s been with us for ten years and is an excellent administrator and person,” said Brewer.
Friday was Brewer’s 48th anniversary with the company.
