UPDATE: Suspect charged in Family Fun Center shooting; remains at large

UPDATE FROM JACKSON POLICE (10/27/25):
Jackson, Tenn. – Investigators with the Jackson Police Department have charged a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of October 26, 2025, at approximately 2:12 a.m.

The incident took place at the Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center, located at 59 Bowling Drive.
The suspect, Dureico Deontae Mckinnie, age 36, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Two counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Two counts of Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
At this time, Mckinnie remains at large. The Jackson Police Department urges anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact investigators immediately at 731-425-8400. Tips may also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477 (TIPS).

JACKSON, Tenn.—The Jackson Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that occurred Sunday at Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center. JPD released the following statement regarding the incident.
Jackson Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting
[Jackson. TN] – The Jackson Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred in the early hours of October 26, 2025, at approximately 2:12 a.m. at the Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center, located at 59 Bowling Drive.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two adult victims who had sustained gunshot wounds. A female victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The male victim, however, was transported in critical condition and remains under medical care.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident began with a verbal altercation inside the business between two male individuals. The altercation eventually moved to the parking lot, where a physical confrontation ensued. During the altercation, one of the males involved retrieved a handgun and shot both the male and female victims.
The Jackson Police Department’s Investigations Division has been actively working to gather more details, including reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses. Authorities are also working to identify and locate the suspect involved in this shooting.
