Crockett County deputy recognized for lifesaving efforts

FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:

Letter of Commendation for Deputy Ryan Yarber

To the Citizens of Crockett County,

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we recognize Deputy Ryan Yarber of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office for his heroic actions that exemplify the spirit of public service and dedication to the community.

A couple days ago, Deputy Yarber responded to an urgent 911 call involving a citizen who had suffered a traumatic injury. Arriving on the scene before emergency medical services, Deputy Yarber’s extensive training as a medic with the Tennessee Army National Guard came into play. Recognizing the critical nature of the situation, he utilized his personal tourniquet to control the arterial bleeding of the injured individual, an action that ultimately saved the citizen’s life.

Deputy Yarber’s quick thinking, calm demeanor, and expert skills not only reflected his commitment to our community but also highlighted the value of training and preparedness of our deputies in high-pressure situations.

As we honor Deputy Yarber’s bravery and professionalism, we also extend our deepest gratitude to all the men and women of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office who work tirelessly to ensure our safety and well-being.

Thank you, Deputy Yarber, for your exemplary service and for going above and beyond in the line of duty. You embody the very best of of us when it comes to serving and protecting. We are proud to have you as part of our community. A copy of this letter of commendation will be placed in your file.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Troy N. Klyce
