FHU hosts flag football tournament for homecoming
HENDERSON, Tenn. — It’s day two of Freed-Hardeman University Spirit Week. Monday, FHU social club women competed in a special powder puff girls flag football tournament.
Boys social clubs could also join in the fun… Competing in a cheering competition…For their teams.
“They are all competing for a spirit trophy that we give out every year. I want to say this may be our 30th, 40th year doing homecoming and having a trophy so it’s all about bragging rights and like I say most of it’s to have fun,” said Brittany Evans, Homecoming Spirit Competition Director.
Tuesday, they celebrate ‘Hoop It Up’ where teams will go head to head in basketball matches.
