Woman, child injured in wreck involving log truck
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Two were injured in a wreck Tuesday morning in Hardin County.

We first learned of the incident as the Hardin County Fire Department utilized social media to warn travelers to avoid the area.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 7:39 a.m. on State Route 226 near Clement Drive.
The report states that a 2006 Lexus, occupied by a 49-year-old female driver and a six-year-old passenger, was traveling northbound when the collision occurred.
The crash involved a 2015 Peterbilt, carrying logs and occupied by a 27-year-old out-of-state resident, which was traveling in the southbound lane.
The report states that both occupants of the Lexus were injured, while the driver of the Peterbilt was not.
The report indicates that all involved were wearing seat belts.
