Union University celebrates 27th annual Scholarship Banquet

JACKSON, Tenn. — Union University is celebrating its 27th annual Scholarship Banquet.

This special occasion kicks off in downtown Jackson at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

It was an inspiring night for music and guests heard a testimony from Steven Curtis Chapman, the most awarded artist in Christian music history, who performs as headliner for this years banquet.

Chapman spent the last 35 years writing and performing genre-defining songs that shaped a generation, winning 60 GMA Dove Awards, five Grammy awards, an American Music Award, and selling more than 16 million albums with gold and platinum recognition.

This Scholarship Banquet is held each year, with businesses and individuals attending to help raise funds for the university’s scholarship fund.
