UPDATE: Man missing from Henderson County located

UPDATE: Henderson County Sheriff’s Office shares that Houston has been found, and family has shared on social media that he is safe. No further details have been released.


HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating a missing man.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Wednesday that Matthew Houston is missing.

The Sheriff’s Department says Houston was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 3, in the area of Lewis Trail and Scarce Creek near Wildersville.

Authorities say when he was last seen, Houston was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, and may have a head injury.

Tennessee Missing and Unsolved reported that it’s believed he may have had a four-wheeler wreck around the time he disappeared.
