What’s New Wednesday: Strawberry Kaleidoscope

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Strawberry Kaleidoscope officially opened in Humboldt this past July.

It’s a store featuring antiques, collectibles and more — but you truly never know what unique finds may await.

“We have a lot of things here that are reflective of Humboldt and this love of strawberry in this area, but you can find almost anything here,” said owner Brenda Corey.

The business offers lots of space for customers to enjoy a relaxing and nostalgic shopping experience, surrounded by items with rich histories.

When it comes to the name, Corey says the first part pays homage to Humboldt’s history and culture.

“We have the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival here, it started in 1934,” Corey said. “And the kaleidoscope is a really great reflection of the fact that things will be ever-changing and evolving in this store.”

Corey tells us that she was inspired to open the business by her love of her town, and deep passion for enriching her community.

“I really enjoy engaging with the community, that was one of the reasons that I kind of started this. We have such online lives, that it’s a way for us to meet and talk, and just share and enjoy community,” she said.

Corey says she’s enjoyed a great response from customers so far, and is excited for more people to visit.

And if you can’t make it in during their normal operating hours, Corey offers private shopping sessions to help you find just what you’re looking for.
