Southwest Head Start hosts annual career fair

HENDERSON, Tenn. — Parents are taking the next steps towards their careers.

Southwest Head Start Program had their annual career fair at the TRG room in Chester County.

This allows parents who want to get back into the working field to brush up on their resumes and allow them to network with employers.

After almost 28 years of this event, they had the biggest turn out yet.

There were many different opportunities such as Jackson State Community College, Global Life and many more.

“This is one of our big things that we really enjoy because our parents get to come out and experience you know going around talking to our different venders and they really get a lot of good information and if they don’t want any of the information they can pass it on to somebody that may,” said Sharla Franklin, family service manager.
