Veterans Day 2025: Free meals, discounts offered

JACKSON, Tenn. — Veterans Day is almost here, and local and national businesses are offering freebies and discounts to those who have served.

In Jackson, the Old Country Store and and Texas Roadhouse are among restaurants that will be offering these deals, with each issuing a press release on the details.

FROM TEXAS ROADHOUSE:

This week, Texas Roadhouse will continue its annual Veterans Day tradition of treating veterans and active U.S. military to enjoy a free meal. On Tuesday, November 11, every Texas Roadhouse location will distribute meal vouchers, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Proof of service is required and includes military or VA card, or discharge papers.

Vouchers can be redeemed through May 31, 2026, for one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/iced tea or coffee. Offers may vary by location. Guests should inquire locally to confirm details for Ft. Bliss, TX; Ft. Campbell, KY; and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

FROM THE OLD COUNTRY STORE:

In honor of Veterans Day, the Old Country Store in Casey Jones Village will offer free meals at its famous Southern buffet to all veterans and active-duty military personnel on Tuesday, November 11, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Veterans and service members are invited to enjoy a hearty buffet lunch or dinner featuring the restaurant’s beloved southern-soul favorites, warm hospitality, and home-style comfort. Over 300 free meals were provided on Veterans Day in 2024.

The offer is available for dine-in buffet guests only, and veterans or active-duty personnel are asked to show a valid military ID or proof of service at the buffet entrance.
