We spoke with Chester County Sheriff Mark Griffin, who says that the call went out around 12:30pm to an apartment complex in Henderson, and that law enforcement is currently working this incident as a death investigation.

According to one neighbor who lives close by, residents of the apartment complex were notified about the incident that happened at Hillview Manor Apartments after a 9-1-1 call was made.

The neighbor tells us the suspect who was taken into custody and the deceased victim were friends, and previously had altercations over a girlfriend. The resident adds the incident was initiated following a break-in at an apartment in the apartment complex.

Officials received the call for assistance with a medical emergency. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased at Hillview Manor Apartments in Henderson.

“When our officers got here we found a deceased male. It’s a very active investigation at this time. We’re working on any leads that we might have. TBI is on the scene helping us at this point. Anytime we have information we’ll try to release that,” said Chief Gary Davidson with the Henderson Police Department.

A tipster tells us this is the first incident they’ve have on that property in years and they’re worried after hearing rumors of possible retaliation to anyone related to the suspect.

There were multiple agencies on site. Officers were out on the scene for hours Monday.

Upon our arrival, they already had certain sections of the property roped off and residents have been parking in other locations to get to their homes this afternoon.

We also observed several responding agencies at the complex including the Henderson Police Department, Chester County Sheriff’s Office, and Henderson Fire Department, TBI, and EMA.

If you have information about the incident, call the Henderson Police Department at 731-989-5404. Sheriff Griffin says this incident is still in the early stages of investigation.
