The Wagers Returns – A Night of High Stakes for a Good Cause, Presented by Capitol City Residential Health Care

Jackson, TN – On November 13,2025, the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South will host its signature event for the West Tennessee community, The Wagers, presented by Capitol City Residential Health Care.

The Wagers, a night where a casino meets a speakeasy, will be full of glitz, glamor, and giving back. All in support of the YMCA programs happening in West Tennessee.

“Though some may be familiar with the work of the YMCA in Jackson, the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South has been leading a revitalizing effort over the last few years to bring resources and support to areas in West Tennessee, including Jackson, Milan, and the surrounding areas,” said Dave Bratcher, SVP of West Tennessee Development for YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South.

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South operates in West Tennessee through various programs, including, Before & After School childcare program sites in conjunction with school partners, YMCA Summer Camps, Child Development Centers and Food Distribution sites, which all work to serve families in the area.

The YMCA plans to expand across West Tennessee over the next several years to focus on impacting people and communities and improving day-to-day life. For example, this summer the YMCA was able to give out free 7-day meal packs to children across rural West Tennessee, serving over 800,000 breakfast and lunch meals to families in need.

“All funds raised at this event will directly support the YMCA’s mission and help fund its expansion efforts in the community. Through these fundraising efforts, we are able to provide scholarships, childcare, youth programs, fitness classes, and

community outreach initiatives, ensuring that the YMCA remains a vital resource for everyone in our community, ” said Bratcher.
