Child kidnapped in Memphis amid DoorDash delivery
JACKSON, Tenn. — A parent’s worst nightmare comes to reality.

A vehicle was stolen in Memphis, with a nine-year-old girl alone inside on Tuesday.
Reports say a mother was dropping off a DoorDash order when she saw a man and woman get into her vehicle and drive off with her daughter in the back seat.
How to prevent things like this happening include never leaving a child alone in vehicle, not even for a minute.
Amber Rollins with Kids and Car Safety tells us a few tips.
“You know most of the time these thieves don’t even know there is a child in the car until they have already taken off, stolen the vehicle, and kidnapped the child,” Rollins said. “And then they panic and things can go a number of different ways. Commonly, there are high speed chases, children are dumped on the side of the road where they are left to face many other dangers, and there has been cases where they have been left alone in the car and suffered from heat stroke.”
The child was found unharmed and safe.
